Reviewing compliance with data protection is an essential component in ensuring an effective, quality-oriented data protection practice for companies and organisations. By carrying out so-called "audits", it can be systematically reviewed and demonstrated how data protection has been implemented and whether this meets the current legal requirements. On the basis of this review, it is possible not only to assess compliance with and implementation of data protection, but also to improve it at the same time.
While data protection laws are subject to constant adaptation and technology is developing rapidly, regular data protection audits are an important measure to ensure the quality of data protection management and compliance with legal requirements.
